For many players, the ultimate dream is to go professional in their favorite esport. For others, they are perfectly happy being full-time streamers on Twitch. But on July 25, long-time Overwatch streamer and support player Aspen announced her plans to go pro in the third season of Overwatch League via Twitter.
In her announcement, she says that she has parted ways with her former organization, Cloud9. On her Twitch, she has over 165,000 followers and an average of about 733 viewers as of her last stream. Aspen also talks about how it’s something she has dreamed about and has wanted since she started playing Overwatch competitively. Towards the end of her video, she thanks Cloud9 for supporting and helping her develop both as a player and a person. She also adds that she “wouldn’t be able to take this leap” without their support. Her video ends with her saying that she is looking for a team. She also says that any organization interested can reach out to her agent.
Hey guys, wanted to give everyone an update about my future plans.

A bright future ahead
During her stream, viewers in the chat expressed how excited they were to see her go pro and wished her luck on her journey. Another viewer also asked if she would consider going through Contenders before going to the Overwatch League. Her response was that she would and will do whatever else it takes to get to OWL. When asked what heroes she likes to play as, she revealed that her most played heroes are Ana, Lucio, and Mercy. Later in that same stream, Aspen also competed in a small tournament for charity with other streamers such as Emongg and FitzyHere. Her team is raising money for Toys for Tots. If you would like to follow her on her journey, you can find her on Twitter and on her stream on Twitch.
