Week 9 of the Overwatch League (OWL) is almost here, and the schedule and Hero Pools are out. Here are the best matches to watch over the weekend.

Recommended Videos

Shanghai Dragons vs. Chengdu Hunters

The Chinese OWL teams played some of the most exciting Overwatch games last weekend, and they all finished with 1-1 records. The Shanghai Dragons are the highest on our Power Rankings, but they couldn’t get it done in Week 8 against the Chengdu Hunters. They will get a chance to face them again with a different Hero Pool this weekend on Sunday at 1:00 a.m. PT.

Toronto Defiant vs. Washington Justice

The Toronto Defiant are still trying to piece things together after signing star damage players Lane “Surefour” Roberts and Brady “Agilities” Girardi during the offseason. The Washington Justice aren’t looking so hot during the 2020 OWL season either. These teams get to have a go at each other on Saturday. Unless one of the teams really starts to click, this should be a close match.

Los Angeles Valiant vs. San Francisco Shock

The Los Angeles Valiant beat the reigning OWL champions, the San Francisco Shock, last week. As such, the Shock will want to prove that their poor performances last week aren’t a reflection of their team as a whole. The Valiant, on the other hand, will want to prove that it wasn’t just a certain Hero Pool that got them the win. If you can only watch one game this weekend, make sure to catch this one. It’s bound to be a good fight.

Remember that you can watch the OWL games on YouTube later if you can’t catch them live. Some of the Chinese games will be difficult for Western viewers to watch due to the time difference. There are plenty of other games that are bound to be good this weekend as well. Which ones are you most looking forward to for Week 9?
