After an extremely long wait, the Dota 2 giants, OG, have unveiled their CSGO lineup. The roster is a medley of international talent and it will be led by ex-ENCE in-game leader Aleksi “Aleksib” Virolainen.
OG steps into CSGO with a massive roster
With weeks of speculation over who is going to be representing the OG roster, we’ve finally received the official lineup. Here is the scary roster that will be surely shaking things up in the top 10 rankings in no time:
- Nathan Jordan “NBK-” Schmitt
- Aleksi “Aleksib” Virolainen
- Isaa “ISSAA” Murad
- Valdemar Bjørn “valde” Vangså
- Mateusz “mantuu” Wilczewski
With such diverse talent across the board, OG seems to be serious about being successful in the CSGO scene. Taking into account their huge achievements in Dota 2, where they won two TIs and four majors, the CS scene has a new big dog in the game.
Here is the official reveal video of the roster.
Rejected players form an ultimate squad
The mashup of talent on the roster is compiled from players that have been replaced on their previous teams. NBK- was abruptly replaced by Richard “shox” Papillon in the French Vitality after controversies that blamed him for ultimately not being compliant with the team. ISSAA was benched while on HellRaisers due to a new squad in the making, following the departure of Özgür “woxic” Eker to the European mousesports. Valde made an exit from North and was long in the dark. Finally, and most unexpectedly, Aleksib was replaced by Miikka “suNny” Kemppi following the previous major, leaving him looking for another lineup he will be leading. His calls have been answered as he will be the in-game leader to take OG far — and perhaps get revenge on his previous team, ENCE.
Among all those players, we also have mantuu, a player from Great Britain of Polish descent that displayed great promise at his former team, ALTERNATE aTTaX. Given the experience in OG, he will surely grow.
From the official announcement at the OG website, the message is clear as to what the organization intends to achieve on the scene: “At OG, we only strive for excellence. As we were able to meet our high expectations in other games, we are confident that we will achieve the same in CS:GO.”
