The org is bringing back coaches Comet, sBs and Noblesse

According to an official announcement on the team’s Twitter page, League of Legends Champions Korea squad Nongshim RedForce have decided to part ways with mid laner Kim “Gori” Tae-woo, bot lane substitute Hwang “Wayne” Seo-hyeon and academy support Kwak “Yusin” Yu-sin.

Mid laner Gori played just one season with Nongshim RedForce, joining the roster on May 7 ahead of the LCK 2021 summer split. Nevertheless, the player’s short stint with the team was a relatively successful one. Despite not being the strongest statistical player in the region, Gori was far and away the best performer on his team.

Gori was awarded 11 Player of the Game awards over the course of the summer, the most in the league. This gave the mid laner 1,100 MVP points and earned him the LCK summer Player of the Split award, ahead of other superstars like DWG KIA’s Kim “Canyon” Geon-bu, Hanwha Life Esports’ Jeong “Chovy” Ji-hoon and T1’s Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok.

Wayne joined Nongshim RedForce as a substitute bot laner in Dec. 2020. Despite being on the roaster for the entire 2021 season, Wayne did not appear in a single game for the team in either of the spring or summer splits. Wayne’s most recent appearance in a professional game was in the Challengers Korea 2020 summer season, when he was a member of the now-disbanded Griffin.

Yusin was a member of the team’s academy roster. The support joined the inaugural Nongshim RedForce Challengers squad in Jan. 2021, alongside top laner Park “DnDn” Geun-woo, jungler Lee “Sylvie” Seung-bok, mid laner An “FIESTA” Hyeon-seo and bot laner Song “Bull” Seon-gyu, who was going by the name “AD” at the time.

Nongshim RedForce brings back coaching staff

After announcing the departures of Gori, Wayne and Yusin, the team also announced that they were bringing back coaches Lim “Comet” Hye-sung, Bae “sBs” Ji-hun and Chae “Noblesse” Do-joon.
