Mortal Kombat 11’s Kano likely to be shown on Feb 5 Kombat Kast

This article is over 5 years old and may contain outdated information

NetherRealm Studios just announced Kano for Mortal Kombat 11, but it was rather minimal for a character announcement. Are we going to see more of Kano in the rescheduled Kombat Kast which was originally scheduled on the same day as his announcement? The chances seem more than probable.

On January 31, 2019, NetherRealm announced Kano on the Mortal Kombat Twitter. The character was given little more than an image of him and a link on where to order Mortal Kombat 11. Neat and all for everyone that wants to get into some Black Dragon antics with the classic Mortal Kombat cutthroat, but it definitely feels like there’s some fanfare missing from Kano’s announcement for the game. It likely has to do with the Kombat Kast stream which was also scheduled for January 31.

After a recent string of winter storms, the Kombat Kast was delayed and rescheduled. After apologies were made, NetherRealm announced that the new date for the Mortal Kombat 11 Kombat Kast would be February 5. What with Kano’s announcement falling right on the day as the original Kombat Kast and very little detail being offered outside his announcement and a picture of him, it only makes sense that we were supposed to get more on January 31 before inclement weather got in the way.

As such, it only makes sense that we’ll probably learn a lot more about Kano on February 5 when the Kombat Kast finally goes live. It will be interesting to see what Kano can do with the new mechanics and gameplay being offered in Mortal Kombat 11. With the story jumping across the timeline again, we can probably also expect to see Kano in some interesting forms with some neat gameplay to match.

Be sure to stay tuned to NetherRealm and Mortal Kombat channels as we near February 5 to see what Kano has to offer. Don’t forget to check out our other Mortal Kombat 11 coverage as well. Has your favorite character made it in yet? Let us know in the comments!
