Kabal was announced on February 5, 2019 on the NetherRealm official Kombat Kast on Twitch. Kabal pretty much kicked off the Kast, starting off with a reveal trailer before Ed Boon and team jumped right into demonstrating and exploring the character more deeply. Kabal is billed as a character that’s easy to start with, complete with more than a few unique opportunities in his special moves.

Kabal features a lot of classic favorite keys to his playstyle. His buzzsaw and nomad dash are back and better than ever, allowing for a good close-in and projectile game. His buzzsaw also has an aerial downward version. Of course, he has his hook swords as well that make him a good poker. He has good reach and can reach out to mess with folks at range before getting up close and personal with his combos on an opening. Overall, Kabal is looking like a strong character in Mortal Kombat 11 and his style and visuals look absolutely stellar.

Kabal joins Kano in the latest set of reveals.
