This move is especially strange for a 100 Thieves roster that is currently tied for first place. Finalists and runners-up of the Spring Split, 100 Thieves are at the top of the NA LCS with a 4-2 record. Making such a drastic roster decision seemingly out of the blue will definitely raise all kinds of questions.

Meanwhile, FlyQuest is somewhat surprisingly in the middle of the pack and tied for fifth place. The team finished the Spring Split in 7th place, with a 6-12 record, but is currently 3-3 through 6 games in the Summer Split.

As Meteos points out, FlyQuest does not currently have an open roster position. He adds that he is not interested in playing for the Academy team, the NA LCS’ version of the minor leagues.

This is a completely unexpected roster change, in a split that has had no shortage of surprises. We will keep you up to date with any new developments so be sure to check back.
