Every year, one of the most anticipated parts of a new Call of Duty title is seeing what the Mastery camos are across the various modes. Mastery camos are the reward players get for completing challenges on their weapons, and Modern Warfare 3 is confirmed to feature at least four of these ultimate camos.
However, like most years, we didn’t really know what the Mastery camos looked like, what they were called, or how to unlock them. That was up until the COD Next event occurred, however, when every single Mastery camo in MW3 seemingly leaked for the entire social media community to see.
The Modern Warfare 3 Mastery camos?
This leak comes from a Twitter account called DETONATEDcom. Apparently, the account somehow got access to leaked calling cards that showcase camos unlike anything we’ve seen before. I was not able to corroborate these leaks, though, so take them with a grain of salt until the developers officially confirm what the Mastery camos are and what they look like.
For now, though, you can take a look at the leaks below.
What you’re looking at is several different sets of supposed Mastery camos in MW3 shown across different Mastery calling cards. The first tweet showcases several camos, and we currently believe these to be the Zombies Mastery camos. This is due to the fact that the calling cards showcase current MW2 weapons. It was confirmed at COD Next that the Zombies camos will be earnable on both the current MW2 weapons and the new MW3 weapons. As such, it makes sense for calling cards to feature MW2 weapons sporting the various Zombie Mastery camos.
As for the camos themselves, it seems as though there are several different ones, and we can’t fully confirm if they are all considered a Mastery camo or not. From what I can tell, there are six different camos on display: two types of Gold, a red-scale dragon, some kind of diamond, a spider web, and an Orion lookalike.
Moving on, we have three camos that appear to be for MW3 multiplayer. There’s the classic Gold camo on the knife, a Platinum camo on an SMG, and then another Orion lookalike camo on an assault rifle. Once again, the camos are displayed via a Mastery calling card, and this time it makes sense for no MW2 weapons to be shown, as the new MW3 Mastery camos cannot be unlocked on the older weapons.

At this point, it’s difficult to make heads or tails of these camos. They look legitimate enough, but with MW3 still being a month away, it’s entirely possible these calling cards are placeholders or are from an older build of the game. Perhaps the camos have been altered and will look entirely different when the full game launches.
So while you can enjoy the camos for what they are now, keep in mind that MW3’s actual Mastery camos might look different when Nov. 10 rolls around.
