Overwatch League franchise Los Angeles Gladiators have signed former Guangzhou Spark off-tank Aaron “Bischu” Kim. Bischu returns to the Gladiators after being previously traded to the Charge in season 2 of the Overwatch League.

Bischu rejoins former team

Bischu is a Korean off-tank player who started competing in Overwatch after a successful career in League of Legends spanning over four years. The former Cloud9 and Complexity Gaming League player decided to transition to Overwatch after placing dead last in the 2016 season of the North American Challenger Series (NACS). Since, Bischu has competed for organizations like Kungarna, Ronin, Team SoloMid, and the Los Angeles Gladiators.

In his new role on the Gladiators, a 4th place finish was achieved during the Overwatch League’s inaugural season. Unfortunately, the team only placed 5 – 6th during the playoffs after a loss to the London Spitfire, a team that eventually went on to be crowned Overwatch League champions. However, due to health issues with ulcerative colitis, Bischu then signed a two-way contract with the Los Angeles Gladiators and their Academy team named Gladiators Legion.

Return to Los Angeles Gladiators

While with the Gladiators Legion, the team went on to place 2nd during season 1 of the North America East division of Overwatch Contenders 2019. He also briefly played in the Stage 2 Playoffs of the Overwatch League before moving to a position on the Guangzhou Charge. Unfortunately, he did not have as much playtime and the Charge ended up in 9th place.

With the end of the season, he was listed as a free agent and then returned to the Los Angeles Gladiators. The Gladiators ended the regular season in 5th place out of 20 teams in total. They were stopped in their playoffs run by the San Francisco Shock.
