Counter Logic Gaming showed signs of life in their dominating victory over Team Liquid, with confident play making a huge difference for the team.

Jungler Raymond "Wiggily" Griffin’s Sejuani and mid laner Tristan "PowerOfEvil" Schrage’s Viktor absolutely took over this game for CLG. After taking the backseat for most of the laning phase, CLG found their footing by getting catching TL’s Jake “Xmithie” Puchero and Nicolaj Jensen out in the mid lane.

Wiggily successfully punished Xmithie’s greedy and damage heavy Olaf build by escorting his team around the map. While Trevor "Stixxay" Hayes sieged turrets on Caitlyn, Wiggily played forward, threatening engages while PowerOfEvil pressured side lanes.

CLG postured around Baron, picking off any TL members that dared to contest them. After swatting away Jensen and top laner Jeong "Impact" Eon-yeong’s attempted engagement, they burned down the objective and set their eyes on TL’s nexus.

During their siege, an overeager CLG squad nearly threw the entire game after a clutch Kennen engage by Impact. But after regrouping and playing around Stixxay’s traps, CLG were able to take the match.

After a 9th place finish during the 2019 spring split, plus an offseason full of roster moves and bootcamping, this clean win may be a sign of the team’s playoff potential.
