Heo "PawN" Won-seok, mid laner for Kingzone DragonX, will sit out the entirety of the LCK Summer Split to recover from ongoing health issues, as detailed in a tweet released today.

The mid laner has suffered from several health issues beginning with his initial run with Edward Gaming in 2015, where he was forced to step down from active competition due to back injuries. Since then, PawN has taken several breaks from competitive play to recuperate from his injuries.

In 2018, PawN was forced to take a step back from competitive play when his injuries flared up during his time with KT Rolster. The mid laner subsequently missed participating at Worlds 2018, where KT found themselves eliminated in the quarterfinals by eventual winners Invictus Gaming.

PawN announced his free agency late in 2018 and was quickly picked up by KZ. His most recent break from competitive comes after an impressive season where the veteran helped KZ secure a respectable third-place finish in the LCK Spring split, and a spot at Rift Rivals 2019.

PawN's absence leaves a gap at mid lane that will be hard to fill. His immediate replacement, Yoo "Naehyun" Nae-hyun, previously played on several challenger teams in Korea, EU, Turkey, but has little top league experience, leading to speculation that another mid laner may be brought in to compete.
