Thomas "Kirei" Yuen and 1907 Fenerbahçe have agreed to part ways, as per a tweet posted by the team today.
The move comes just four days after the team’s run at MSI ended in disappointment. After coming to a draw in the head to head match-up with Phong Vũ Buffalo, it was Fenerbahçe’s 1-1 record against Isurus Gaming that denied them a spot in the second round.

Almost immediately after his release, however, Kirei was picked up by Misfits, as revealed by his addition to their lineup on the League of Legends Contract Database.
Kirei had been a standout player for TCL champions Fenerbahçe, with his fantastic jungle play helping to earn the team a solid 4-2 result during the MSI play-ins. In the past, Kirei has played in the NA LCS as part of Team Dignitas, and for several teams in the EUCS.
At the time of writing, Kirei’s move to Misfits has not been formally announced, so it remains to be seen whether he’ll take starting role, or instead compete as a sixth man or sub. His move to Misfits casts doubt on the future of Nubar "Maxlore" Sarafian, current jungler for the team.
