In a return to form, Griffin has ended its two series lost-streak in the LCK. During the week nine opener Griffin looked dominant, defeating Hanwha Life Esports in a pair of impressive victories.

Gone were the drafting troubles and mistakes, as the team picked strong, aggressive champions that helped them maintain their playstyle in the changing meta they’d struggled with.

Overall, the team looked much more streamlined, turning ganks effectively and snowballing advantages won from team fights into a pair of wins.

Do-hyeon "Viper" Park, in particular, looked far more comfortable on two recent meta picks, Vayne and Neeko, going 5/0/7 in the opening game and a respectable 2/1/5 in game two.

Griffin closed out both games in less than an hour combined, looking much more like the team that had spent the first seven weeks of the season undefeated.

In a post-game interview, the players discussed how they’d overcome the setbacks of their losses to Gen.G and Afreeca Freecs. Top laner Choi “Sword” Sung-won admitted that he “Wasn’t prepared enough” for a rapidly changing meta.

The team faces the last place Jin Air Green Wings tomorrow, and will surely be looking to replicate today’s fantastic result.
