Former Royal Never Give Up top laner Liu “Zz1tai” Zhi-hao will be stepping out of retirement to rejoin the team as they prepare for playoffs. According to a statement released by the team, the two parties respectfully came to an agreement after some discussion.

Twitter user @iCrystalization also translated and shared a Weibo post made by Zz1tai explaining his decision.

After Zz1tai announced his retirement on Dec. 27 during RNG's sixth anniversary celebration, he was replaced by Shek “AmazingJ” Wai Ho, formerly of Edward Gaming. It's uncertain if the team plans to start Zz1tai over AmazingJ, or if they will be running a six-man roster.

This year, RNG look to pave their path to redemption after a disappointing finish in the 2018 World Championship. Following Zz1tai's return to play, the entirety of that 2018 roster has reunited.

RNG is currently sitting at fourth place in the LPL. Before they can set their sights on international play, they'll have to focus on integrating Zz1tai back into the roster.
