After a month-long break following the Worlds 2021 event, League of Legends’ next event is here: Debonair 2021. The new event celebrates the second Debonair skin line, featuring a sleek green and silver aesthetic and new skins for Draven, Zed, Brand and several other champions. As always, the event comes with its own LoL Debonair 2021 battle pass, a long list of new missions to complete and tons of token rewards.
The LoL Debonair 2021 event will run from Dec. 9 at 4 p.m. ET through Jan. 11 2:59 a.m. ET. This event is also special in that it is the testing ground for an entirely new mission points system being implemented into battle pass events by Riot Games. For full details of how the new points system will work with the new missions, check out our guide below.
The biggest reward available in the LoL Debonair 2021 event is the snazzy new Debonair Brand Prestige Edition skin. The skin will be available in the token shop for 2,000 Debonair 2021 tokens throughout the duration of the event.
How much does the LoL Debonair 2021 event pass cost?
As soon as the event releases at 4 p.m. ET, all players can purchase the basic LoL Debonair 2021 battle pass for 1,650 RP in the in-client store. Buying the pass will immediately unlock four Debonair 2021 loot orbs and 200 event tokens. Pass owners will also get instant access to three sets of bonus missions.
The pass-exclusive missions include 10 milestone missions (after the milestone mission revamp during the Worlds 2021 event) and four weekly win missions. LoL Debonair 2021 will also debut an entirely new token bank mission system, which we have broken down in-depth below.
How is the pass bundle different from the event pass?
Aside from the basic battle pass we outlined above, players will also find a larger LoL Debonair 2021 event pass bundle in the store for 2,650 RP. This bundle comes with everything in the battle pass and also includes a full Debonair Brand skin package. It should be noted that this is the basic edition of the new Brand skin and not the prestige edition.
Included in the bundle are the basic Debonair Brand skin, the accompanying summoner icon and a loading screen border for the skin. As a bonus, players that don’t already own Brand as a champion will receive him too.
Our thoughts:Â If you are on a budget or you don’t play Brand, the basic battle pass has everything you need and is an excellent value at 1,650 RP. This pass gives you access to several bonus mission lines, an infinite source of token farming and many unlockable rewards.
For Brand mains and skin collectors, the larger 2,650 RP bundle is also a solid deal. For a 1,000 RP cost increase, buyers receive a skin valued at 1,350 RP and an icon and loading screen border package that otherwise costs 250 event tokens.
If you are on the fence between purchasing the pass or the bundle, we recommend purchasing the 1,650 RP pass first. Doing so will create an exact discount on the bundle, dropping its price in the store from 2,650 RP to 1,000 RP. Due to this discounting mechanic, there is no downside to purchasing the pass first. At the same time, you’ll then have until the last day of the event to decide if you want to pay the 1,000 RP upgrade fee to get the skin pack.

Riot installs a new token bank mission system
In all previous pass events, one of the biggest perks was the token bank system. This “mission” was not really a mission; players that owned the event pass simply received a certain number of tokens after every matchmade game they played, win or lose. For example, a win on Summoner’s Rift under that system instantly awarded 10 tokens, while a loss awarded 5.
As we detailed in a recent article, Riot’s new “objective points” system completely scraps that old model. The new system, coming into effect with the LoL Debonair 2021 event, rewards players based on time played instead of on a per-game basis. As a result, the token bank mission becomes an actual, repeatable mission; players will now earn 20 tokens for every 400 objective points they rack up.
Objective points are awarded as follows:
Game Mode | Points Per Minute in Wins | Points Per Minute in Losses |
Summoner’s Rift (All PvP modes) | 6 | 4 |
Howling Abyss (ARAM) | 6 | 4 |
Event Modes (ie: URF, OFA, Unsealed Spellbook) | 6 | 4 |
Teamfight Tactics (All modes) | 3 | 2 |
Bot Games (Co-op vs. AI) | 2 | 1 |
When it comes to the token bank mission, only the first four lines on the above table are relevant. As always, Co-op vs. AI games do not count towards token missions and only apply towards milestones and weekly wins.
One thing that remains the same is that there is no limit to how many tokens players can farm through the token bank. Those that are active enough will have ample time to accumulate enough tokens to purchase the 2,000 cost Debonair Brand Prestige Edition skin or the 2,200 token cost prestige points bundle, which comes with 100 prestige points and a limited edition summoner icon.
LoL Debonair 2021 event: Milestone missions list
One of the more appealing aspects of the LoL Debonair 2021 event pass is the milestone missions list that is unlocked upon purchasing the pass. This recently revamped system gives players 10 missions to complete with big rewards after each one.
Milestone missions unlock one after the other and have no special guidelines. Instead, each milestone simply requires 1,275 objective points to be completed (refer to the table above).
Mission | Rewards |
Milestone 1: Score 1,275 points | 2021 Debonair pass icon + 5 Prestige Points |
Milestone 2:Â Score 1,275 points | 10 Win XP Boost + 5 Prestige Points |
Milestone 3:Â Score 1,275 points | “You Miss Me?” Emote + 5 Prestige Points |
Milestone 4:Â Score 1,275 points | 1,500 Blue Essence + 5 Prestige Points |
Milestone 5:Â Score 1,275 points | “Don’t Test Me” Emote + 5 Prestige Points |
Milestone 6:Â Score 1,275 points | “Silence!” Emote + 1,500 Blue Essence |
Milestone 7:Â Score 1,275 points | Mystery Emote Permanent + 500 Orange Essence |
Milestone 8:Â Score 1,275 points | 1 Gemstone + 1 Hextech Key |
Milestone 9:Â Score 1,275 points | 1 Masterwork Chest + 750 Orange Essence |
Milestone 10:Â Score 1,275 points | 1 Debonair 2021 Orb + 1 Gemstone |
The Debonair 2021 Loot Orb rewarded in Milestone 10 is the same as the four bonus orbs that come with purchasing the event pass. Each of these loot orbs contains a random skin shard, with a small chance at a gemstone, mythic skin or a Debonair 2021 Clutch Bag.
The Debonair 2021 Clutch Bag is a bonus grab bag that drops at a 3.5% chance and contains three guaranteed skin shards with a 10% chance at two more.
LoL Debonair 2021 event: Weekly win missions guide
As is tradition with League of Legends passes, the biggest chunk of tokens available in the LoL Debonair 2021 event comes with the weekly win missions. The first of these missions is activated instantly upon unlocking the pass. The remaining missions unlock periodically throughout the event.
With the mission points revamp Riot is trying out this time around, each weekly win missions require 1,650 activity points to complete. With Summoner’s Rift, ARAM and all event queues uniformly awarding 6 points per win and 4 points per loss, the average 50% win rate player should earn 5 points per minute. This means each weekly win will require around 330 minutes to complete, or 5.5 hours of playtime.
While weekly win missions take longer to complete than any other mission, they don’t expire until the end of the event.
Mission | Reward | Activation Date |
Week 1: Score 1,650 points | 250 Debonair 2021 tokens | Dec. 9, 4:00 PM ET |
Week 2: Score 1,650 points | 250 Debonair 2021 tokens | Dec. 16, 4:00 PM ET |
Week 3: Score 1,650 points | 250 Debonair 2021 tokens | Dec. 23, 4:00 PM ET |
Week 4: Score 1,650 points | 250 Debonair 2021 tokens | Dec. 30, 4:00 PM ET |
Despite weekly win missions, milestone missions and token bank missions all using a similar activity points system, they can all be worked on at the same time.
Riot releases the Last Chance Prestige Points shop
This event also marks the release of the Last Chance Prestige Points shop. The new shop is located in the crafting menu and can be found by clicking on the 2020 prestige tokens. All prestige skins released since January 2020 will be available to purchase in this shop.
Please keep in mind that any event skins that were buyable for 2,000 event tokens in the past (such as Mecha Kingdoms Garen) will not come with their respective loading screen borders and icons. Any skins that were released directly for 100 prestige tokens (such as True Damage Senna) will come with the border and icon.
