Following League of Legends’ tenth anniversary, content creators took the opportunity to pay musical homage to the popular MOBA. Over the years, League of Legends has been known to release some iconic tunes. This year, Riot Games released their Worlds 2019 theme song “Phoenix” featuring Cailin Russo and Chrissy Costanza — gaining over 19 million views on YouTube. However, officially released tracks aren’t the only way fans can experience League of Legends music. On Oct. 25, YouTuber Albert “Sleightlymusical” Chang released a video demonstrating 10 years’ worth of recognizable League of Legends tunes.
Each snippet shows fan-favorite songs from throughout the years. Viewers are more than pleased to see 11 talented artists create this 6-minute medley. A few personalities taking part in the project include OfflineTV’s Lilypichu, Josh “Xell” Kim, and Flyquest mid laner Eugene “Pobelter” Park.
Which pieces were performed?
Some of the performed musical pieces are “Nami, The Tidecaller,” “DJ Sona: Kinetic,” and “POP/STARS.” Along with a viewer-created track list on Reddit, Lilypichu received feedback and compliments on the finished product. She also shared there may be a “Behind the Scenes” video in the upcoming future, exciting many fans.

Riot works together with content creators
Although the video is not an official production of Riot Games, Sleightlymusical expresses it’s a project he’s been meaning to do for some time. “Thanks Riot Games for working with me on this project. It’s been something I’ve wanted to do,” he said. As of now, the video has received over 100,000 views and is expected to receive much more attention within the League of Legends community. Moreover, this creation is one of many videos released in the past month dedicated to League of Legends. From troll videos to cinematic trailers, fans are getting plenty of content devoted to their favorite video game.
