Riot Pls has typically been the platform for Riot to announce some of their biggest changes to League of Legends. Riot will also be showing a first look at the Summoner’s Rift preseason update and Teamfight Tactics “set two content.”
Rumors of Runeterra
Not much is known about “Legends of Runeterra;” however, the name confirms it would be connected to the greater League of Legends world. Runeterra is the name of the world that League of Legends takes place in. “Legends of Runeterra” could follow a similar model to other digital card games like Hearthstone where players have access to unique hero characters and abilities. Alternately, Runeterra could take a page from Magic: The Gathering Arena, where players must rely on only the cards in their deck to generate advantage and board presence.
Also rumored is a League of Legends mobile edition of the game after pre-registration links went live in China and Brazil. Riot quickly closed the pre-registration, but not before several screenshots made their way online.
