In Week 4 of the League of Legends European Championship (LEC), each team faced each other exactly one time. This mean everyone had the same schedule in terms of opponents and no team had a particular advantage for player rankings. But one thing remains certain: Rogue Esports are still undefeated.
Don’t forget that this ranking is solely based on an algorithm rating players with several statistics. The data used for it was downloaded from Oracle’s Elixir.
Now let’s dive into the LEC rankings for Week 4!
Top lane
1. Odoamne (=)
2. Broken Blade (=)
3. Finn (New)
It was a tough battle between Andrei “Odoamne” Pascu and Sergen “Broken Blade” Çelik as Rogue and G2 Esports finally faced each other. While Odoamne got a lead in creep score with his Akshan, Broken Blade won out on plating with his Akali in the early game. Overall, both top laners are now really close in this ranking and comfortably sitting at the top two.
In Week 4, Finn “Finn” WiestÃ¥l made his first entry in the LEC rankings this season. While he’s taking the place of Barney “Alphari” Morris who still has laning numbers, Finn is actually doing pretty well in that department too. He averages an experience difference in lane of plus-261 (first in the league). Finally, Finn performs above average in all the other statistics taken into account, for example he averages 28.2% of the damage of his team (second in the league).
Jungle
1. Elyoya (=)
2. Shlatan (+1)
3. Malrang (New)
Javier “Elyoya” Prades Batalla and Lucjan “Shlatan” Ahmad for sure deserve some credit for the early game numbers they managed, despite both teams sitting at a record of 5-4. Even if it wasn’t directly taken into account in the algorithm that produces this ranking, Elyoya has a First Blood rate of 67%. This is incredibly high, above any player in any role in the LEC.
Last week many wondered how Kim “Malrang” Geun-seong could be left out of this ranking despite his team being undefeated? In Week 4, he finally made it but, if statistics tell one thing about his playstyle, he ganks a lot. While barely taken into consideration for junglers, his average creep score differential of minus-11.7. Is that a bad thing? Not at all. It just shows that Malrang gives up a lot for his team and, so far, it has worked out really well. In terms of kills/deaths/assists, he does the best in the LEC.
Mid lane
1. Larssen (=)
2. Humanoid (=)
3. Vetheo (=)
Emil “Larssen” Larsson had the luxury last weekend of playing against a sona mid lane, where he was 26 creeps ahead of Erlend “Nukeduck” Holm. However, his average on nine games is still plus-9.8 which is second behind Marek “Humanoid” Brázda, who now sits at plus-11. In terms of Damage per minute, Larssen remain unmatched with 628, the highest of any mid laner.
Vincent “Vetheo” Berrié manages to keep the third position this week. However Luka “Perkz” Perković, who is still suffering from his Week 1 numbers, isn’t far behind. Credit to Vetheo though for still being the first mid laner in terms of Kill Participation with a rate of 73%. Now, in Week 4 of the LEC, he and Shlatan have done good work for Misfits Gaming this split.
Bot lane
1. Comp (+2)
2. Upset (=)
3. UNF0RGIVEN (-2)
Week 4 of the LEC rankings has Elias “Upset” Lipp on average 321 gold ahead of his opponent; that number is 241 for Markos “Comp” Stamkopoulos. The same story applies in several metrics where both are top two. But, in Damage per Minute, Comp wins out with an average of 601, first of his role in front of William “UNF0RGIVEN” Nieminen, who has 581. Comp just seems to be the most consistent and well-rounded bot laner of the league right now, and this doesn’t even take into account all the jinx rockets he’s hitting. Upset’s stats are very impressive too, but they’ll probably need to result in wins for him to take over the first position.
Support
1. Hylissang (=)
2. Trymbi (+1)
3. Targamas (-1)
While getting a bit lower by the weeks, Zdravets “Hylissang” Iliev Galabov still has the best Kill Participation rate of 79.4% in Week 4 of LEC rankings. Adrian “Trymbi” Trybus, who is up a place this week, isn’t too far behind with 74.4%. This is pretty good, considering how active Malrang is on the map. Trymbi also averages a gold difference of plus-216 which shows that he and Comp totally play a part in Rogue’s early game advantages. Maybe there will be an expected change in the ranking, as Raphaël “Targamas” Crabbé lost against Rogue last weekend.
