On Saturday, veteran League of Legends player Kim “Olleh” Joo-sung announced that he is taking a break from esports. He held a Reddit “Ask Me Anything” (AMA) thread allowing fans to ask him questions, which garnered over 430 comments. Within his first post, he stated that he will be taking a break for the summer. Olleh joined the professional League of Legends scene in 2013, joining 10 teams throughout his time as a pro player. He has also played in four different regions, making him one of the most well-known LoL players in the community.

Olleh reaching out to fans
Some fans’ questions revolved around tips and advice on becoming a pro player and what his future plans are. One fan asked him about his experience playing with Yiliang “Doublelift” Peng, to which he responded, “He made me (a) better person and better man. I truly respect him and wish him all success from my heart.”
Additionally, he also shared his biggest obstacle as a pro player was the language barrier. As a natural-born South Korean, Olleh has played with Brazilian, Taiwanese, and American teams. This means he has had to adjust to different cultures and languages in a short amount of time, but he’s proven to himself that it’s possible.
