This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

League of Legends patch 10.4 is shaping up to be an interesting one. On the public beta environment (PBE), the first tentative changes are up for players to try out. One nerf many are looking forward to is the upcoming change to the new flavor of the week, Soraka. New Blood Moon skins are in the works as well, in addition to new hope for Wukong.

Soraka in the top lane

Soraka has been slowly rising in popularity in recent months in the Solo Queue environment. The pick gained a massive amount of notoriety when Martin “Wunder” Nordahl Hansen of G2 Esports played the pick in two consecutive games in the top lane. Wunder played Soraka in their games against Team Vitality and Origen in the League of Legends European Championship (LEC).

Starcall Soraka PBE

The changes to Soraka were rumored by senior champion designer Riot August to be coming with the 10.3 game update, earlier this week. However, no changes had been made to Soraka at that time. With today’s PBE update though, Soraka’s main ability Q – Starcall is nerfed drastically. Starcall on the PBE now deals 60% damage to minions. The change significantly reduces Soraka’s options of pushing out the top lane.

New Blood Moon skins coming in patch 10.4

Blood Moon League of Legends

The Blood Moon theme is one of the most popular skin lines in League of Legends. Until now, a total of 15 champions had a Blood Moon-themed skin. Among them was one of the most popular Prestige skins of 2019, Blood Moon Aatrox.

Three new champions are entering the Blood Moon faction in the upcoming patch 10.4 update if the skins make it through testing on the PBE. Master Yi, Tryndamere, and Katarina are joining the ranks soon. Riot Kiwikid (yes, the former pro) is looking for feedback for final changes to the skins. Bugs and feedback can be reported on the PBE forum.

Wukong might be making a return to the game

Wukong has been away from the competitive meta for a very long time. However, with several of the recent PBE updates, Wukong has been getting slight changes to all aspects of his kit. At this point, there is too little known about which changes are making it into the live game and when this might be. It will be exciting to see Wukong maybe becoming viable again in the jungle or top lane role.

The 10.4 patch will be live on Feb. 20. However, there are sure to be more changes coming to the PBE ahead of this. For more League of Legends news, be sure to read about all changes of the recent 10.3 update.
