This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

Lead gameplay designer Mark “Riot Scruffy” Yetter has released a new preview for the upcoming League of Legends patch 10.12 update. After the latest marksman overhaul, more changes are coming to several marksman champions, such as Varus and Senna. In addition to this, Yasuo sees even more changes to various aspects of his ability set.

League‘s marksman overhaul continues

In the most recent patch, the majority of League of Legends‘ marksman champions saw an increase in their base and scaling Health. Notably excluded from that list of champions, however, was Senna. After a drastic decrease in winrate for the champion, Senna will now see some love to bring her back to par with her competition.

Unlike the patch 10.11 changes, Senna does not see her Health changed this update. Instead, she now has a higher chance of generating a Soul upon champion kills, from 2 to 8.33%. In addition to this, Riot plans to change Senna’s attack speed ratio from 0.2 to 0.35.

How significant this change will be is hard to tell at this point, as Senna’s auto attacks have a unique passive. This passive allows Senna to only benefit from 32% of her total bonus attack speed. In addition to this, the attack windup time is only reduced by 60% of the expected reduction on other League champions.

To make it simple, Senna does not want to build any attack speed items. Because of this, the ratio change is likely not nearly as impactful as one might think at first glance. It is possible, however, that an item such as Phantom Dancer or Rapid Firecannon will become the meta once the 10.12 patch hits the live servers next week.

Another hit to Yasuo

League of Legends will also bring several changes to Yasuo in this update. The most notable change comes to his Base Health, which sees a decrease of 33 Health at level 1. Also, the cooldown of Yasuo’s W – Wind wall will increase by four seconds at rank 1. The last change to Yasuo’s kit comes to his passive shield, Way of the Wanderer. This is increased by 20 points, from 110 to 130 at level 1.

June 12 is the expected release date for League of Legends patch 10.12. For more League of Legends news, be sure to read all about the retirement of China’s most notable player.
