Week 6 of the 2022 League of Legends Championship Series summer split has officially concluded with another exciting day of games featuring all 10 teams. While some results were expected, many moments were not. Here is the Week 6 Day 2 LCS Wrap-Up.

Player of the Day: C9 Berserker

Cloud9’s bot laner Kim “Berserker” Min-cheol made it two for two when it comes to player of the day awards this week; he popped off again today, this time on Kalista in C9’s clutch win against Team Liquid Honda to bring themselves into a tie for third place at the end of Week 6. On top of our LCS Wrap-up, Berserker also picked up player of the week honors on the official broadcast.

Best Clip: Chime isn’t getting Bard anymore

TSM’s support player Jonathan “Chime” Pomponio literally has it in his name β€” he’s known as a Bard player, and he showed why in their win against Golden Guardians. He hit clutch ult after clutch ult; he was the difference maker for TSM. Moving forward, teams should probably either take notes on how to play Bard or make a mental note to never let Chime have the champion again.

Best quote: Aphromoo gives none

FlyQuest’s Zaqueri “Aphromoo” Black has been in the LCS for 10 years. He has heard it all and seen it all. As a grizzled, aging veteran β€” when it comes to esports, that is β€” he has no time for these trash-talking youngsters. To Aphromoo, it’s put up or shut up; unfortunately for FLY and Aphromoo, EG had the hands to back up their trash talk today.

What’s Next

That’s it for Week 6 of the 2022 LCS Summer split. The 10 top teams in NA will be back next weekend for the penultimate weekend of play before playoffs. The next week is sure to be a banger, with many high-quality matchups featuring the LCS title favorites and contenders; EG versus TL, 100 versus C9 and CLG versus FLY are some of the more hyped matches coming up next week.
