Riot Games has announced a dog adoption event taking place this Saturday outside of LCS Studios. They are partnering with the Los Angeles dog rescue organization Wags and Walks. LCS fans everywhere are excited to meet these pups and hopefully take one home.
On Thursday evening, the official LCS Twitter page alerted their 79,000 followers about this wholesome event. They shared some details about the adoption, stating Wags and Walks will be “bringing adoptable dogs, limited team-branded dog bandannas and collars, and more!”
Due to some confusion, fans had planned to bring their dogs to the event. The LCS account had to clarify that this is strictly an adoption event, and owners are prohibited from bringing their pets.
A wholesome doggy celebration
On their official website, Riot Games give a more detailed look into their Dog Day. They will be hosting puppy play areas, providing doggy cosplay photo opportunities, and bringing in Kubo, the LCS-predicting pup. Most NA LCS teams will also be at the event, including Counter Logic Gaming, Team SoloMid, Evil Geniuses, Cloud9, Dignitas, and more. They’ll be busy giving away doggy merchandise and swag for those who participate.
The event is happening this Saturday, February 15 at the LCS Studios in Los Angeles. It is taking place in the LCS tailgate, so ticketing is not a requirement. However, since it is open to everyone, those without a ticket will still have to go through security. They also encouraged visitors to arrive between 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM.

Wags and Walks
Founded in 2011 by Lesley Brog, Wags and Walks is a community of dog lovers looking to rescue dogs regardless of size and breed. Brog opened up the dog rescue because of the overwhelming number of Los Angeles dogs going through euthanization. Because of this initiative, many dogs have been able to find their forever homes.
The organization has saved nearly 5,000 dogs since being founded, and will continue to save more in the upcoming years. This collaboration with the LCS will highlight the importance of adoption, and will also help bring love and safety to shelter dogs.
