Since their international debut at the 2020 League of Legends World Championship, Pacific Championship Series squad PSG Talon have made a name for themselves as one of the most enigmatic teams when it comes to global competition.

Up until Worlds 2021, PSG Talon have gone to every international tournament without their full starting roster. Despite this, they impressively escaped play-ins at Worlds 2020 and made top four at the 2021 Mid-Season Invitational, even taking a game off of the eventual champions Royal Never Give Up.

RNG got some payback against PSG on Monday during Day 1 of the Worlds 2021 group stage. The League Pro League squad stumbled late but still handed PSG a loss to start their run in Reykjavík, Iceland. Things won’t get much easier, either, with a matchup against South Korean No. 4 seed Hanwha Life Esports ahead on Tuesday.

With PCS second seed Beyond Gaming already out of the tournament, the pressure is on for PSG to once again prove the strength of their players in the face of doubters. After their first match of the Worlds 2021 group stage, Upcomer spoke with PSG’s veteran playmaker in the bot lane Ling “Kaiwing” Kai Wing about being excited to play with his trusted duo Wong “Unified” Chun Kit, which bot lane he’s most excited to face and why he thinks PSG is underrated.
