Last week, a Twitch clip began circulating on Reddit that went viral in the CSGO community. The moment of impact

The squad was planting the bomb in a 6-5 Overpass match when a car pummeled through his front door. His teammate was streaming and caught the exact moment Stattik realized what happened.

Stattik left his desk and ran to the front door. A few seconds later, he returned to his computer and explained to his team that he needed to leave due to the emergency.

Stattik describes the event

Stattik explained to us what happened moments after the crash:

“The car crashed into the front right corner of my home. [The car] knocked my door in and concrete blocks off my home.

I got up instantly and ran to check what was happening. I was mad but there was a cop actually patrolling the area. He actually witnessed it happened and arrested the man instantly.”

Stattik isn’t sure what exactly caused the accident, but he believes that the accident was due to distracted driving caused by texting. Fortunately, amid a terrible event, Stattik finds comfort in the fact that he, his family, and his pets were not injured in the crash.

Dealing with the aftermath

After going through such a traumatizing event, Stattik is grateful for those from around the world who have reached out to him through Reddit and other social media platforms with kind words:

“I am so thankful for all the support that has come my way. I’ve talked to people from Canada to Australia and Denmark to Poland.”

Stattik’s family has set up a Streamlabs link for anyone interested in donating to help them pay the insurance costs. Moving forward from the crash, he plans to produce Twitch content and give back to those who have supported him:

“I really want to keep streaming with all this support and hope to make affiliate on Twitch. I want to make videos and updates for those that support me. I’m actually doing a CSGO giveaway for those who came to support me. I want to thank everyone that has come to my aid in this time of need.”
