The event gives ERL teams a chance to display their talent on a wider scale and win the title for the best ERL team in Europe. Masters also gives players a path into the League of Legends European Championship with the likes of G2’s Raphaël “Targamas” Crabbé, MAD Lions William “UNF0RGIVEN” Nieminen and several others all coming for different ERLs.

The 2022 Amazon EU Masters will take place from Aug. 24 to Sept. 25.

Format for Amazon EU Masters

EU Masters will kick off Aug. 25 with a play-in stage consisting of 16 teams. These 16 teams will compete for the top four spots to qualify for the main events. All 16 teams will  be divided into four groups and will play a single-game double-round robin format.

After this, the top two teams from each  group will  advance to the knockout stage. The first place teams from the group stage will face the second place teams. All matches in the knockout stage will take a best-of-three format. The knockout stage ends on Aug. 27 with the top four teams joining the 12 teams that automatically qualified for the main stage.
