This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

Apex Legends Season 4 has been out for one day and the community is still raving about the new content. From the Battle Pass to the new map, Apex Legends is in a tremendous state right now. However, maybe the best new addition in Season 4 is the new legend, Revenant. An extremely versatile character, Revenant possesses some of the best abilities currently in the game. Here are some ways to utilize these abilities to maximize your success with Revenant.

Making use of Revenant’s abilities

As with any character in Apex Legends, you need to play to the legend’s play style. With Pathfinder, for example, playing slowly and methodically is completely negating all of the robot’s unique movement traits.

The same goes for Revenant, as he should be played with more speed and aggression than other legends. Let’s start with his passive ability, Stalker. This simply allows you to climb walls and crouch walk faster. Obviously, to make use of Stalker, you should play quicker than you would with a legend like Caustic.

To go along with Stalker is his tactical ability, Silence. A throwable grenade of sorts, Silence, when affecting an enemy, deals damage and also disables the affected enemy’s abilities. While Silence allows for multiple play styles, using it when running and gunning is a more viable strategy.

Apex Legends Season 4 Revenant

To round out Revenant, we have his ultimate ability, Death Totem. Possibly the best ultimate in Apex Legends, Death Totem drops a beacon that your whole team can use. When in use, you cannot be killed. However, if you do run out of health, you return to the beacon with very little health.

In order to maximize your success with Death Totem, you should only activate it when you’re about to engage with an enemy. Make sure your entire team sees you drop the totem so they can fight with no chance of being killed as well. If you win the engagement, then that’s great. Though if you lose, you have a second chance at fighting that team.
