The full slate of Mastery Camos in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 has finally been revealed for anyone truly looking to lose their life to the grind. As predicted, there are multiple sets of new Mastery Camos in MW3, one for multiplayer and two for Zombies (MW2 and MW3 weapons).
Of course, a majority of you will likely only be interested in the multiplayer Mastery Camos, as that’s still the most-played mode by far. The camo system for MW3 multiplayer works just like it did in MW2, with different four camo sets for every single weapon. Then, after you complete those camo sets by doing challenges, you can start the Mastery Camo grind.
There are four Mastery Camos in MW3 multiplayer, and below, you can see exactly how to unlock all of them.
Unlocking all Mastery Camos in MW3 multiplayer
In total, there are over 280 new base camos across MW3, which includes both multiplayer and Zombies. For multiplayer only, there are roughly 140 new base camos to unlock for the 37 new weapons in the game.
The Mastery Camos in multiplayer are completely different from the ones in Zombies, but they are unlocked in similar ways. Today, we’ll just be talking about unlocking the Mastery Camos for multiplayer.
First, you need to unlock four base camos, which is done by reaching different weapon levels and completing a subsequent challenge. Once you have completed all four of those challenges and unlocked the four base camos, you can start working on the first Mastery Camo, which is called Gilded.
How to unlock the Gilded Mastery Camo in MW3
To unlock Gilded, you first need to complete every base camo challenge for a weapon, as previously stated. Then, you must complete one additional challenge for the Gilded camo.
This challenge differs from weapon to weapon, so you need to view the challenge for your specific weapon in the loadout camo menu. However, an example of a Gilded challenge is “Get 3 Operator Kills with 1 Magazine 10 times,” which is the task for the MCW assault rifle.
Once you complete that challenge, Gilded is unlocked for that specific weapon. It won’t be unlocked for any other weapon, you need to do that separately for every other weapon in MW3 multiplayer.
How to unlock the Forged Mastery Camo in MW3
After the Gilded camo comes Forged, which is unlocked in a different way.
Forged can only be unlocked once you have unlocked Gilded for every other weapon in a specific class. So, for example, if you want to unlock Forged for the MCW, you need to unlock Gilded for every other assault rifle in multiplayer.
If you manage to do that, then you have to complete another weapon-specific challenge for the Forged camo. Like before, each weapon has a different challenge, so you need to go through and complete all of the Forged challenges for every weapon across multiplayer.
An example of a Forged challenge is “Get 3 Kills without dying 10 times” (for the MCW).
How to unlock the Priceless Mastery Camo in MW3
Following Gilded and Forged is the Priceless Mastery Camo.
You can only unlock Priceless after unlocking Gilded and Forged on every single weapon in multiplayer. This means unlocking Forged for all 37 weapons in the game, including the launcher and melee weapons.
Completing that herculean task will grant you access to the Priceless challenge for all 37 weapons. You then need to complete those individual challenges to unlock Priceless for all of the weapons.
An example of a Priceless challenge is “Get 5 Kills without dying 10 times” (for the MCW).
How to unlock the Interstellar Mastery Camo in MW3
Finally, after unlocking the Gilded, Forged, and Priceless Mastery Camos for all 37 weapons in multiplayer, you can begin to start unlocking Interstellar.
Interstellar requires you to complete more weapon-specific challenges for every single weapon in the game. Once you complete an Interstellar challenge for a weapon, you unlock the camo for it.

Accomplishing this for all 37 weapons in multiplayer grants you the Completionist Charm, which can be used on any weapon. You will also unlock a weapon-specific Mastery Calling Card and Emblem every time you unlock a new Mastery Camo for a weapon. This means you will eventually have a Mastery Calling Card and Emblem for every weapon if you unlock Interstellar for all 37 weapons in multiplayer.
