Flash Ops: Echo Showdown rules

Players must have an Echo on their team at all times. Also, there cannot be more than two Overwatch League or Contenders players on any given team. The games will take place on April 18 and 19 in Europe starting at 3:00 a.m. PT, while North America will start at 1:00 p.m. PT.

This is a single-elimination tournament, which means that if your team loses once, you’re out. Matches in the first two rounds of the tournament will be best-of-three, and in round three they will be best-of-five. Higher seeds will host the lobby and select the server. The lower seed picks the side. All games will follow the competitive Overwatch format.

How to sign up

You can sign up for the Echo Showdown on the Major League Gaming website. Signups will take place from now until Friday, April 17 at 12:00 p.m. PT. You will need an MLG account, along with a Blizzard account. Once you link these, you will be eligible to sign up.

To sign up, you will need a team of six players as well as a Discord account. You will be prompted to enter your team name and Discord ID. Each player on your team will need to enter the tournament. Once everyone is in, you will be able to compete.

You can also earn exclusive rewards by linking your Twitch account to your Blizzard account and watching select streams during the Flash Ops: Echo Showdown event. Be sure to check out all the festivities around the release of Overwatch‘s newest hero.
