Dust 2 map in Fortnite

The Fortnite Creative community building team is well known for previous work with companies like Samsung for its iKON event, Jordan Brand for the Downtown Drop LTM experience, Ninja for a Creative World Cup Qualifier map, Epic Games themselves for a Summer Block Party Event, and more. A side-by-side comparison of the Fortnite map and CSGO equivalent was teased on social media just a few days ago.

Players interested in starting a game on the Dust 2 map can do so easily by entering “9908-4675-7557” for the Island Code. The newly created Search and Destroy game mode features multiple rounds, two bomb sites, an economy system to reward good performance during rounds, and the classic objectives of planting the bomb or eliminating all of the opponents in a series of 6v6 matches. This map joins several previous remakes from CSGO in Fortnite like Cache, Inferno, and some from esports titles like Call of Duty.

Monetization from “support a creator”

With the “support a creator” program, community builders that create popular maps can directly earn money from their creations. This has led to an expanse of new maps being released every day. In comparison, games like CSGO that also have a community creation option do not support a monetization option. Artists can only make money if their creation of an in-game weapon skin is chosen by Valve.

Will Epic Games also release a possibility for its players to create their own cosmetics, to be voted on by the community for implementation? Let us know about your opinion, and keep up with Daily Esports for all of your Fortnite coverage.
