Cyberpunk 2077 appears to have taken the gaming world by storm in its first week of release. CD Projekt RED’s long-awaited open-world RPG is a masterpiece in many ways, and it’s already smashed records on Twitch and Steam. While the bugs can be a nuisance, the developers have confirmed fixes are incoming soon in the form of updates. However, what doesn’t need an update, even though many players thought it did, is the Inventory system in Cyberpunk 2077. Upon first playing, some fans had no idea how to actually access their Backpack. There’s no set button for the command so how do you see everything in your Inventory?
Accessing your Inventory in Cyberpunk 2077
An immediate question for most players, the game doesn’t exactly tell you how to open your Backpack. Traditionally in RPGs, the Backpack is an invaluable tool that stores your quest log, items, character customization, and more. The same is true with Cyberpunk, but when looking through the keybinds, no assigned button can be seen for the Inventory.
As such, players have spent frustrating minutes trying to figure out what button to press. The conundrum is taking place on both PC and console, but the problem is a bit more advanced on PC since a keyboard has far more keybind options.
If you’re a PC player, all you have to do to access your Backpack is press “I.” This keybind can’t be changed, similarly to the “F” action key. So if you’re used to pressing Tab for your Inventory, this is something you’ll have to get used to.
On controller, PlayStation users need to press the touchpad and Xbox users are required to press the View button. This will open up the Backpack and allow you to access the Inventory, Character screen, Crafting menu, and Journal.
That’s how you open up the Inventory in Cyberpunk 2077! Make sure to stay tuned to Daily Esports for more guides and news.
