The Dead Space Remake features a wide variety of weapons, items, and other upgrades to allow you, as Isaac, to get through the USG Ishimura as unscathed as possible.

One of the more prevalent upgrades you will come across are suits, which are the main way you defend yourself against the onslaught of aliens you’ll be squaring off with. Suits provide Isaac with defense and other stats so that you can survive some hits. The suits also provide an element of flair, as each one looks unique and allows you to customize Isaac’s appearance. One suit that players have been itching to get their hands on in the Dead Space Remake is the Burnished Suit.

The Burnished Suit is perhaps the toughest suit to acquire in the Dead Space Remake. Unfortunately, players won’t even be able to get it until they attempt a second playthrough or go back to their first playthrough after they’ve beaten the story.

The only way to acquire the Burnished Suit is to beat the Dead Space Remake on the Impossible difficulty level. This is the hardest difficulty setting in the entire game, and it will likely add hours to your playthrough compared to a normal difficulty level. Impossible mode doesn’t allow for autosaves and you only get one save slot. This means that if you die, you will have to start the entire game over again.

If you actually manage to complete this herculean task and defeat the Dead Space Remake on Impossible mode, then the Burnished Suit will appear in your inventory. You can access it through your first playthrough’s save slot or on a New Game Plus save if you decide to go that route.

The Burnished Suit has a unique colorway, sporting a mostly jet black design with a red visor. To some, it might not be worth the trouble of playing Impossible mode. However, for completionists, it might just be the perfect reward.
