The Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 7 Week 3 Legendary Quests have released and another batch of tasks are available for players to complete. This means that an additional set of XP is up for grabs for players to advance their Battle Pass. To help this cause, players can complete challenges such as placing alien light communication devices on mountain tops.
This is a Legendary Quest in Week 3 and awards 30,000 XP to each player that completes it. The XP is proving a little difficult to earn, though, as the challenge isn’t too clear in its objective. There are dozens of mountain tops in Fortnite, so where do players need to go to place the communication devices?
Where to place alien light communication devices in Fortnite
There are a total of four communication devices that players need to place for the challenge to complete. This isn’t a difficult task by any means but, if players don’t know where to go, it can turn into a real headache.
Luckily, the four locations are easily identifiable. The mountain tops aren’t too spread out either, so the challenge could theoretically be done in a single match of Fortnite. Of course, players need to land at the locations first and make it their sole objective to place the devices.
Below, players can see a map detailing which mountain tops they need to go to.
Players must visit each of the four outlined locations. They’ll see a blue outline of a communication device on each of the mountains. Once they find it, all that’s left is to interact with it and head to the next location. After all four have been placed, the challenge will be complete and players are awarded 30,000 XP for their Fortnite Season 7 Battle Pass.
