How to acquire a free pair of Mantis Blades in Cyberpunk 2077

The Mantis Blades are one of four Arm upgrades for your Cyberware in Cyberpunk 2077. However, in the grand scheme of things, there might not be a more popular upgrade in the game. The Mantis Blades were used heavily in CD Projekt RED’s marketing campaign prior to the game’s release. As such, many players immediately wondered how to get their hands on the blades of death. While you can just shell out some eddies to a Ripperdoc, there is one way to acquire the blades for free in Night City.

Earning a free set of Mantis Blades in Cyberpunk 2077

For this objective, you’ll need to have started Act 2 of Cyberpunk 2077. Night City needs to be fully open for you to travel to the location with the free Mantis Blades. You’ll know if you’ve started Act 2 if you’ve done the mission ‘The Heist’ and been introduced to Johnny Silverhand.

If you have started Act 2, then you can proceed with acquiring the iconic blades. First, you want to fast travel to anywhere in the Corpo Plaza. Next, make your way to the Night City Center for Behavioral Health.

Once there, head inside and walk to the left-hand side of the building. You should see a doorway with yellow bars with an alley on the other side. Head out to this alley and you should see a Cyberpsycho if you haven’t completed the mission ‘Phantom of Night City.’ You can either defeat the enemy or walk around him to the right-hand side of the alley. Here, you should see a lootable box that contains a pair of Mantis Blades.

All that’s left to do is visit a Ripperdoc and they’ll install the Blades for free. Make sure to go into the Arm category and click on the blades to ensure the Ripperdoc installs them.
