Honkai: Star Rail is receiving a physical edition for the PlayStation 5, dubbed “The Trailblazer Edition.”
Now, why would anyone buy a free-to-play game? The answer lies in the exclusive collectible items included in this special edition, rather than the game itself. The Trailblazer Edition was recently spotted on Best Buy, making it the first time a HoYoverse game will be available in physical form.
Honkai: Star Rail physical edition release date and price
The Honkai: Star Rail Trailblazer Edition will officially be released on March 31, 2025, but pre-orders are open now. It’s priced at $39.99 and, as of now, Best Buy seems to be the only retailer offering it.
What do you get with the physical edition?
The Trailblazer Edition comes packed with some exciting extras. Here’s what’s included:
- Honkai: Star Rail PS5 game disc and cover
- Gilded holographic character nine-card set
- Two exclusive holographic chibi Trailblazer keychains
- Exclusive postcard
- Game redemption code with exclusive in-game items
While the Best Buy listing doesn’t specify what the in-game items are, it’s safe to assume they’ll include Stellar Jades and other useful bonuses for players.
