Hearthstone is celebrating Winter Veil with a quest chain, themed skins and the return of two seasonal Tavern Brawls. Beginning on Tuesday, Hearthstone players can participate in a Legendary Quest Chain.
How to earn free card packs
Three quests have been added and a total of six card packs are on the line. Players will be awarded with a standard card pack alongside a Fractured in Alterac Valley pack, one for each completed quest.
Free Snowman Thrall skin
Adding to the winter festivities, when players visit the shop on Tuesday, they can claim a free Snowman Thrall skin.
When players browse the shop, they can also purchase themed cosmetic bundles for the traditional Hearthstone game mode alongside bundles for Hearthstone Battlegrounds. Players can also buy the Greatfather Winter Magni Hero Set.
Returning Tavern Brawls
Hearthstone players can also duke it out against others in the Gift Exchange Tavern Brawl, which involves receiving gift drops. To win this Tavern Brawl, players must fight to open presents and gain advantages against their opponent.
If this is the first time that a player is participating in the Gift Exchange Tavern Brawl, then they will receive the Winter Veil Treat card back as opposed to a regular card pack.
The following Wednesday will feature the Wacky Waxy Winter Veil Brawl. This returning Tavern Brawl involves Large Waxy Gift cards. When opened, the card provides the opponent with a random and discounted Legendary minion.
Battle for Alterac Valley updates
Hearthstone players can still earn honor points for their chosen faction. According to the latest update, the Alliance is forging ahead in the Battle for Alterac Valley event. However, players who are for the Horde can still gain more points. Both Horde and Alliance have already gained over 1 billion honor each.
The Winter Veil event will end on Jan. 19 while the Battle for Alterac Valley one will end on Jan. 11.
