Just one day after SMASH Esports announced their split with Martin “STYKO” Styk and co., Godsent have announced the signing of that same CSGO roster. This roster features:
- Martin “STYKO” Styk
- Mikail “Maikelele” Bill
- Kevin “kRYSTAL” Amend
- Pavle “Maden” BoÅ¡ković
- Jesse “zehN” Linjala
- (coach) Jonatan “Devilwalk” Lundberg
As such, the Godsent team will resume their activities on the CSGO scene. They have been gone ever since June 2018, when the team ceased their operations.
Godsent are back in business
Created by CSGO legend Markus “pronax” Wallsten, a retired in-game leader for Fnatic, Godsent previously saw other CS legends play under its banner. Jesper “JW” Wecksell and Freddy “KRIMZ” Johansson are some of the few. Then, slowly but surely, the roster was constantly changed, with players being bought out of contract – Dennis “dennis” Edman by NiP, for example. The unfortunate chain of events led to the squad ceasing to exist on the scene. Many thought this would be the end of Godsent CSGO.
However, now Godsent has signed a very promising lineup that may very well become a top tier team. With the experience of Maikelele, STYKO, and the firepower across the roster, this new lineup could be a force to be reckoned with, if the chemistry is there.

The move was also possible when Godsent joined forces with The Final Tribe, another Swedish organization that competes in a variety of esports. The merger, which happened in early September, may have been the factor that allowed Godsent to resume their activity on the CSGO scene.
With such an experienced and talented roster, the organization should soon break into the top 30 ranking by HLTV. Hopefully, we will see the roster competing at the biggest LAN tournaments soon enough.
