GeT_RiGhT reportedly joining Dignitas as final CSGO player

This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

According to a report, North American esports organization Dignitas is apparently trying to sign Christopher “GeT_RiGhT” Alesund to its Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CSGO) roster. In September, the Swedish player stepped down from his role on Ninjas in Pyjamas after competing under the organization for seven years.

With this news, GeT_RiGhT will join the Dignitas lineup that includes players Adam “friberg” Friberg, Patrik “f0rest” Lindberg, Richard “Xizt” Landström, and AWPer Håkon “hallzerk” Fjærli. Hallzerk was previously acquired by Dignitas and will most likely join in a trial role, as previously reported.

GeT_RiGhT has previously competed with the likes of friberg, f0rest, and Xizt on a past Ninjas in Pyjamas roster, which went on to win multiple Major events. Robin “Fifflaren” Johansson, who was the fifth player on that lineup, since retired in late 2014. Nevertheless, the four players have experience playing together, which would make this reunion great.

Dignitas in negotiations

While GeT_RiGhT is in free agency, both f0rest and Xizt are still contracted to their respective teams, being Fnatic and Ninjas in Pyjamas. Xizt is an inactive player, but f0rest is supposed to compete in future matches for the United Kingdom organization. Because of this, it may be costly for Dignitas to buy out the two players during negotiations.

Dignitas enters Counter-Strike after releasing their previous North American team in August of 2018 because of lackluster results. Since dropping that lineup, the organization has rebranded from their former Team Dignitas name and “Digi” alien eye logo.

While this roster looks great, GeT_RiGhT hasn’t been in the competitive CSGO scene for several months. Can Dignitas make it into the top 10?
