Following a massive teaser by the CSGO developers on Twitter, the community’s wish for the knife to be brought into CSGO has been granted. A brand new weapon case named CS20 has been added into Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. The case commemorates Counter-Strike’s 20-year anniversary. You can unbox the knife from CS 1.6 as well as other weapon skins that somehow relate to the history of Counter-Strike.
New knife, old knife
The CS20 weapon case gives everyone the possibility of unboxing the “Classic Knife,” the knife popular from previous Counter-Strike iterations. Unfortunately (or fortunately depending on your opinion), you are not guaranteed a vanilla skin. You may unbox the Classic Knife with a wide array of patterns on it such as case hardened or crimson web. Surely, most people will want to unbox the vanilla skin of the knife, and the prices on the Steam community market will, most likely, be sky high for it. Here are all the possible knife patterns one can unbox from the CS20 weapon case.
For some, the vanilla will be their target to unbox; for others, the fade or crimson web patterns will be their goal. Whichever pattern you prefer, it is nice to see yet another knife make it into the ranks of CSGO, especially on the 20th anniversary of Counter-Strike.
More skins, more history
The new array of weapon skins found in the CS20 case either somehow relate to CSGO or CS history in general. For instance, the MAC-10 Classic Crate has a pattern of old crate models used in Counter-Strike. The M249 Aztec is an obvious ode to the legendary map, Aztec. Some of the other skins commemorate older crates and operations. The AWP Wildfire, which will most likely be the most sought-after weapon skin from this crate, is an obvious commemoration to the Operation Wildfire case and missions. Here are all the weapon skins and knives you can unbox from the CS20 case.
