Swedish organization GamerLegion has disbanded its Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CSGO) roster with immediate effect following a statement released on Twitter. Despite currently being out of play, Adil “ScreaM” Benrlitom and Hampus “hampus” Poser remain stuck within the organization due to their contracts.
Identity issues and lack of LAN achievements
GamerLegion entered the scene with an international roster with ScreaM, Kevin “HS” Tarn, and Kévin “Ex6TenZ” Droolans to lead them to victory. With other players that were mostly of Swedish origin such as Alfred “RuStY” Karlsson, the team looked to shake things up on the scene.
The roster then went through many changes within its ranks. Most interestingly, GamerLegion decided to build a Swedish-only roster in late October of 2019. This led to the benching of ScreaM as well as the young talent HS.
The beginning of 2020 set another obstacle in the team’s desire to grow as a unit. Up and coming talent Tim “nawwk” Jonasson was transferred to Ninjas in Pyjamas. William “draken” Sundin joined the team to fill the AWPing vacancy left by the latest departure.
After an extremely short run with draken on-board, GamerLegion has disbanded with draken, Dennis “dennis” Edman and Fredrik “freddieb” Buö becoming free agents.

Lacking in A-tier tournament achievements, the team did find victory at CMD368 Championship as well as LOOT.BET/CS Season 2, winning both online tournaments. Their offline showings left much to be desired though, such as an outing in 3rd place at United Masters League Season 1.
However, ScreaM as well as hampus remain tied to the roster despite being benched. This is due to the two players still being contracted to the CSGO organization. Additionally, Rasmus “Gux” StÃ¥hl, the coach of the team, has remained on board as the team has decided to “withdraw and rething our future strategy in Counter-Strike.” Perhaps we will see a better, more organized GamerLegion in a couple of weeks or months.
