League of Legends Championship Series team FlyQuest have signed French mid laner Loïc “toucouille” Dubois. The player formerly played on Ligue Française de League of Legends teams GameWard and GamersOrigin. Toucouille will replace their former mid laner and current CLG player Cristian “Palafox” Palafox.
Welcome, @Toucouille_lol!
The performances of our young French promise earned him the LFL Spring Split MVP, and now he will take care of the mid lane! 🇫🇷

Toucouille’s path to FlyQuest
For toucouille, his path in competitive League of Legends started in mid-2017, for French team Beyond the Rift. After playing in France for different teams, he stuck to Izi Dream for the 2019 season. Playing mid, on champions like Ryze and Irelia, he made his splash by winning three Open Tour France monthly tournaments in a row in 2019. That performance led him to GamersOrigin, where he became a popular mid laner from the LFL. Some of his accomplishments include multiple Dream Team appearances, both weekly and for an entire split in LFL spring 2020, as well as winning at both LFL spring and summer in 2020. For the LFL Championships, GamersOrigin lost to Misfits Premier in the finals.
After playing for GamersOrigin in 2020, he moved to another LFL team, GameWard, in 2021. He couldn’t replicate his team’s performances in 2021. GameWard didn’t finish well, getting fifth and seventh in their spring and summer 2021 splits respectively. However, he was recognized as the league’s MVP in the spring split.
FlyQuest’s 2021
FlyQuest had a tough 2021 LCS season compared to their 2020 run that saw them go to the League of Legends World Championships. The team fielded an entirely different roster from their Worlds 2020 run, as those players left for different teams. In the LCS 2021 Lock In tournament, the team bowed out in the first round losing 0-2 to Team Liquid. In the spring and summer splits, the team finished eighth and ninth respectively. FLyQuest missed out on the playoffs in both splits, even with the expanded format that saw only two teams not make it into the post-season.
Toucouille will come into a team with few expectations going into the 2022 LCS season.
