In a move that’s been in the works since earlier this week, Reece “Vivid” Drost has signed with the Florida Mutineers. The signing is still pending league approval but there’s no reason for it not to go through. This news comes after a report from Tuesday that stated the rumored Washington Justice roster has fallen apart after the ownership group pulled out of buying the Chicago CDL spot. Vivid was on the supposed roster.
He now joins an intriguing Florida roster that features two of the game’s best assault rifle players and a promising rookie. The big question with the roster is how it will play out in Vanguard with certain metas.
Vivid joins the Florida Mutineers
This addition seemed set in stone when current Mutineers player, Colt “Havok” McClendon, tweeted that he was a free agent for the 2022 season. According to rumors, Havok is the one being replaced by Vivid on the starting lineup, which is now all but confirmed by Florida themselves.

Vivid spent last year with the LA Guerrillas and Dallas Empire. He is regarded as a hard-working player in the scene and one of the more consistent SMG players. Former teammate Ian “Crimsix” Porter even called him “the most random, yet fortunate pickup I’ve ever been a part of.”
It seems as though Vivid will play the main SMG slayer role for Florida in 2022. The rest of the roster has mainly assault rifle players. David “Davpadie” Maslowski, Cesar “Skyz” Bueno and Joe “Owakening” Conley have traditionally played professionally with an AR in their hands. However, in August, Owakening and Skyz tweeted that they could be taking on a flex role in 2022.
The exact roles for the Mutineers roster remain to be seen but Vivid could present an upgrade over Havok at the SMG position.
