FC Schalke 04 sign Dreams for the 2020 LEC Season

German multi-sports organization FC Schalke 04 has announced that former SK Gaming support player Han “Dreams” Min-kook will join its League of Legends roster. The Korean player has competed for teams like Team Vitality and Mysterious Monkeys, along with multiple roles on Misfits Gaming.

FC Schalke 04 welcomes Dreams

Dreams joins FC Schalke 04 in the support role after replacing former support Lee “IgNar” Dong-geun, who has now been signed to FlyQuest. He will compete alongside the recently signed AD carry Konstantinos “FORG1VEN” Tzortziou, who replaced Elias “Upset” Lipp after the bot laner left for Origen. Other players on the FC Schalke 04 roster include jungler Jonas “Memento” Elmarghichi and mid laner Felix “Abbedagge” Braun, who both saw their contracts extended through 2020. Head coach Dylan Falco remains in his position as well. He will be helped by head analyst Jose “F1RE” Maria Iznardo, who joined during the 2019 LEC season.

Dreams’ former team, SK Gaming, placed 6th during the 2019 League of Legends European Championship (LEC) Spring Split, which barely qualified them for the Spring Playoffs. The team then lost to Splyce 1 – 3 and was eliminated in 5 – 6th place. SK Gaming replaced top laner Jorge “Werlyb” Casanovas Moreno-Torres with Academy team player Toni “Sacre” Sabalić in the offseason, switching the players between lineups. However, this did not help, as the team did slightly worse in the 2019 LEC Summer Split with a 7th place finish.

FC Schalke 04 did much better compared to SK Gaming, with a 4th place finish during the 2019 LEC Summer Split. The German team later went 3rd in the Summer Playoffs and repeated the same result in the Regional Finals.
