German esports organization FC Schalke 04 announced it has signed AD carry Konstantinos Napoleon “FORG1VEN” Tzortziou to its League of Legends roster. FORG1VEN last played for H2K Gaming, where the team went on to a 3 – 4th place finish at the 2016 World Championships.

FORG1VEN joins FC Schalke 04
“There is no doubt that Konstantinos is one of the best players in the world. He has unique skills and an extraordinary understanding of the game,” said Tim Reichert, Chief Gaming Officer of the Royal Blues, in a release. “A player like Konstantinos can make the difference. I am all the more pleased that he has chosen to play for Schalke 04.”
The Greek player was previously forced to pause his career in the League of Legends European Championship (EU LCS) due to mandatory military service. After finishing his service and leaving the military, FORG1VEN started to receive many requests to return to the competitive scene.
Other than his passion for Riot Games’ popular multiplayer online battle arena title, he is also a fan of the FC Schalke 04 football club. He had childhood dreams of playing for a big football club, but quickly found out it wasn’t realistic. Instead, the offer from FC Schalke 04 allowed Tzortziou to achieve this same goal in a different role – an opportunity he described as not having “to think twice” about.
FORG1VEN reunites with former H2K Gaming top laner Andrei “Odoamne” Pascu on FC Schalke 04’s roster. While the 27-year old has been practicing, this will be his first time playing in the professional League of Legends scene since 2018. Still, Tzortziou is considered a veteran player and will apply his experience toward a team that placed 3rd in the 2019 LEC Summer Split Playoffs.
