“We are very proud to be announcing Belong Gaming Arenas as our Official Arena Partner,” said the Managing Director of Excel Esports, Kieran Holmes-Darby. “We are really looking forward to working closely with Belong and utilising their cutting edge facilities to activate our community.”

Excel Esports was announced before the 2019 LEC Spring Split as one of the ten franchised partner teams. However, the team finished in 9th place during the 2019 LEC Spring Split. Currently, the team is tied for 9th place with Team Vitality. It has 0 wins and 3 losses. The LVP UK League Championship team, Excel UK, fared better during the 2019 Spring Split. The team finished in third place in the regular season and the same during playoffs.

“Everyone at BELONG is delighted to be strengthening our partnership with Excel. We are looking forward to working with the Excel team to bring their fans and our community together with exciting new events and content,” said the Head of Esports & Belong Partnerships, Mary Antieul. “We’ll be cheering them on in their upcoming LEC fixtures, and are excited to see the team perform on the rift!”

Belong Gaming Arenas is a United Kingdom-based chain that provides a social space for casual and social gaming. It provides Gaming PCs, Xbox Ones, PlayStation 4 consoles, and other peripherals to customers. The company also hosts a variety of events at its arena stores, from community events to esports tournaments. Gamers can use their facilities for parties, practice areas for esports teams, and social activities. Currently, 22 stores exist in the UK and surrounding countries. They basically offer the equivalent of a PC Cafe made specifically for gaming in the United States or the popular “PC Bangs” in Korea.

This partnership announcement comes after the April reveal of its own esports arena and training facility. Have you ever visited a Belong Gaming Arena in the United Kingdom?
