Everything we know about the Call of Duty 2020 mystery packages

This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

It’s finally August 10, which means the mysterious packages regarding Call of Duty 2020 have been opened. Numerous personalities and influencers within the community received a package and were allowed to open them today. Inside the wooden boxes are a note from Activision, a slide projector, and some slides to put in the projector. On the slides are various images and maps that as of right now, don’t seem to reveal Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. However, that doesn’t mean the slides won’t give us more hints about the upcoming title.

At the time of writing, no one can quite make sense of the slides inside the packages. In total, each box contained around 10 slides showing different images. Some of the images showed maps of various countries while others aren’t as easy to make out.

Call of Duty news account @CharlieIntel was one of the recipients of the package and began posting their slides on social media. It seems they received some strange ciphers that need to be decoded and a couple of maps. One of the maps shows a country and the other appears to be the map “Summit” from the Black Ops series.

No one has yet fully deciphered the strange word puzzles that CharlieIntel and other personalities received. However, in addition to the country marked (1) in the first tweet, other influencers received maps of countries as well.

We’re not entirely sure what the maps or numbers could indicate. However, it is worth noting that Russia was shown, as the country was the center of the Cold War.

In regards to the ciphers, one intelligent fan has seemingly figured out one part of the code. By overlapping two images in Photoshop, we can understand the ciphers a little better.

The circled letters spell out “Trey”, which could be an indication towards Treyarch, the developers of Call of Duty 2020.

That’s all the information we have at this time! Keep up with Daily Esports for all updates on this story.
