The winning team will take home a $350,000 share of the tournament’s $1 million prize pool. The winner will also earn themselves 4950 DPC points, more than enough points to qualify for The International 2019.

Participating regions and dates

Sixteen teams will take part, with 15 competing for a spot in the qualifiers. There will be three spots available for teams from Europe, CIS, and China respectively. Two spots each will be for teams representing South East Asia, North America, and South America. The final team competing will be the winner of the previous Minor.

The tournament’s group stages will begin on June 22. Results of the group stages will decide the seeding for the upper and lower bracket. Playoffs begin on June 24 and will follow a double elimination system. Finals will be held June 28-30.

We’ll find out more about the dates and formats for the Major’s open qualifiers on April 2; closed qualifiers will take place in May 15 – 19.

Tickets for the EPICENTER Major are available for purchase at epicenter.gg. Three-day pass holders can expect to receive different bonuses and gifts depending on the tier of their pass, including early access to the stadium and guaranteed access to autograph sessions.

Formerly known as VTB Ice Palace, Moscow’s CSKA Arena offers fans a perfect viewing experience, thanks to the venue’s 360° view stage design. Plus, Epic Esports Events has received praise for their organization of previous EPICENTER tournament series. Their 2016 event won third place in the European Best Event Awards. Epic Esports 2018 event EPICENTER XL was also the second most viewed Dota 2 tournament.
