As the end of the week approaches, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive fans from around the world grow more excited. Friday, January 24 kicks off the start of DreamHack Open Leipzig 2020. We’ve put together this viewing guide to help keep you up-to-date with everything you need to know.

Teams to catch this weekend

There are eight elite CSGO teams gunning for a piece of the $100,000 prize pool.

Invited teams:

The second half of the participating teams qualified through separate events.

Then, the eight teams have been arranged into Group A and Group B as follows:

      Group A:

DreamHack Open Leipzig schedule

The event is three days long and will use the typical DreamHack open format. There will be 6 BO1s on the opening day (Friday), followed by BO3s for the rest of the tournament. Furthermore, the group stage is single elimination preceding a playoff phase. Check out DreamHack’s live CSGO stream to root for your favourite teams.

Tournament winnings

The total tournament prize pool adds up to a firm $100,000, which sends each team home with some cash. Additionally, the top six teams are awarded Pro Tour Points. Tour points help teams qualify for ESL and DreamHack Masters Championship events like ESL One Cologne. The complete breakdown of winnings and points is as follows:

  • 1st place: $50,000 + 100 Pro Tour Points
  • 2nd place $20,000 + 80 Pro Tour Points
  • 3rd-4th place: $10,000 + 40 Pro Tour Points
  • 5th-6th place: $3000 + 20 Pro Tour Points
  • 7th-8th place: $2,000
