Updates to several key Dota 2 heroes

This update changes the strength of over 60 Dota 2 heroes. However, some changes stand out among the rest. One of the most significant changes in the update is to Earth Spirit. The cooldown of Earth Spirit’s Stone Remnant is reduced by five seconds, from 30 to 25.

Also, Earth Spirit’s level 20 talent has been changed from +150 Gold/Min to +3.5 seconds of Geomagnetic Grip Silence. Just how much this will impact Earth Spirit is something we will have to wait and see. However, the community is overall excited about the change.

Another significant change is that the hero IO.IO’s Overcharge heal has been reduced by 0.05% strength at each rank of the ability. In addition to this, Overcharge’s cooldown has been increased from a flat 16-second cooldown to 22 to 16 seconds scaling cooldown. This nerf should impact IO’s win rate in both competitive play and the ranked ladder.

Items changed across the board

The majority of items have changed in some way, shape or form. However, two items were not so fortunate. Both Fusion Rune and Phoenix Ash are no longer in the game with this update. It has not been made clear whether these items will be returning to the game in the future. However, it is quite possible the items will be rebalanced in a later update.
