League of Legends fans are having an exciting summer so far, with two champion releases and the Spirit Blossom event. Although Yone is close to being released on the live servers, fans are already itching for some more updates. The new champion, already hinted in the Champion Roadmap, is rumored to be a bot laner with a fiery personality. Lead Champion Producer Ryan “Reav3” Mireles initially mentioned the third new champion to be a marksman that can “string together abilities.” Additionally, they can also create new combos while “firing a whirlwind of blades and bullets.”

Leaks within the files

Players may not have to wait much longer for this new champions reveal, who many are calling “Samira.” The leaks are a result of hints found within the files of the Patch notes for 10.16. In the files, there is a new emote coming out named Style: Rank S. This emote is the same image uploaded on the Champion Roadmap describing the new marksman.

Digging deeper into the files, there exists an Easter Egg file that includes Samira’s name on it. Along with this, the folder includes other files describing “roses,” “petals,” and “embers.”

While there’s no confirmation on whether Samira will be a bot laner, some fans feel that she will be an ADC. The last champion released in this category was Aphelios, so it’s about time bot lane received a new fighter. Since she’ll be a marksman, plays may expect to see her jumping through several lanes.
